    BETH A. BANKER. C.F.N.P.

Beth A. Banker, a board certified family nurse practitioner, joined Digestive Disease Physicians in 2012. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Connecticut, where she was a member of the Phi Sigma Pi national honors fraternity.

She received a strong foundation in acute care nursing at Yale New Haven Hospital, INOVA Fairfax Hospital and Virginia Hospital Center before receiving her master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Marymount University.

Following seven successful years in primary care, Beth decided to specialize in gastroenterology and has been working at Digestive Disease Physicians for 5 years.

Her areas of interest include the “mind-gut connection”, pelvic floor dysfunction, infectious GI conditions and inflammatory bowel disease. She strives to develop a strong rapport with patients so that they feel comfortable discussing sensitive GI issues.

Beth helps provide the practice’s strong continuity of care by seeing patients in the office as well as supporting the physicians in the hospital.

In her free time, Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and children, exercising, and healthy cooking.
